Recipe by: Candice Marie | Simplyhealthymama
Ingredients
1 cup mashed Bako Sweet Potatoes (about 2 potatoes)
1 cup pizza flour (I use organic red hard wheat)
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon nutritional yeast
Uncured turkey pepperoni
Organic fresh mozzarella, shredded
Pizza sauce (made with avocado or olive oil)
Directions
Peel and boil sweet potatoes until tender, about 30-40 minutes.
Mash with a fork or potato masher. Once cool, pack potato into measuring cup.
Add mashed potato to a bowl, along with flour and seasonings. Combine until a dough is formed. If dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
Roll out the dough and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Add sauce, pepperoni, and cheese to half of the hearts. Place other half of dough heart on top and use a fork to seal the edges all around the hearts.
Bake at 400F for 15-17 minutes and enjoy!
